By using a laser and light sensor to detect intrusions and activating a piezo buzzer to sound an alarm, students can build and experience a sensor-based security system firsthand.

When the laser light consistently reaches the light sensor, the system remains in standby mode. However, when an object passes through and blocks the light, the brightness value drops, triggering the buzzer to sound an alarm.

By experiencing the automation flow of sensor input – condition evaluation – output response, students can naturally learn how security systems work and how sensors are applied in real-life situations.
